- Abstract
In this study, iconographic and stylistic analysis of eleven sculptures found in the ancient city Nicomedia (İzmit city) which is based in the Bithynia region in the ancient times has been carried out and that has been exhibited at the Museum of İzmit. These works consist of the torsos of four men wearing clothes, torsos of three women wearing clothes, a hermof Aion, a torso of Asclepius, a head of Heracles and a head of man. The artworks were found not in the regular excavations held in the ancient city but found completely by chance, and all belong to the Roman Period.
