In this article, the author discusses the current status of metal pollution in cattle of Africa. He found that the level of toxic metals in water, soils, and edible vegetables has exceeded the acceptable limits for human consumption. He also found that accumulation of lead and cadmium in cattle near the lead-zinc mines in Kabwe, Zambia was higher than cattle from other towns in Zambia.
