- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated leishmaniasis transmission and the persistence of Leishmania in the liver. The study identified phlebotomine sand fly species and examined their blood meals in Pakistan areas were cutaneous leishmaniasis was endemic. It provides insight on Tregs' involvement in hepatic Leishmania (L.) donovani persistence.
