- Abstract
This article, published in Clinical Endoscopy, discusses the use of an endoscopic powered debridement device for the treatment of post-surgical fatty pancreatic necrosis. The case study describes a 71-year-old man who developed a large walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN) collection after a distal pancreatectomy. Traditional management methods were not effective, so the authors utilized endoscopic powered debridement devices to perform necrosectomy and successfully clear the cavity. The study suggests that this device may be a useful tool for treating fatty pancreatic necrosis, but further research is needed to determine its optimal indications and potential risks.
