- Abstract
This document includes two abstracts from the journal Haemophilia. The first abstract discusses the impact of personalized therapy on the quality of life of individuals with haemophilia A. The study focuses on a 45-year-old male patient with severe haemophilia A and multiple health issues. The results show that personalized therapy with rurioctocog alfa pegol led to a lower consumption of factor VIII and increased treatment effectiveness, ultimately improving the patient's quality of life. The second abstract presents the findings of the SHAPE survey, which aimed to understand the experiences and unmet needs of healthcare professionals and patients with sickle cell disease in India, Malaysia, and Thailand. The survey revealed that hydroxyurea/hydroxycarbamide was the main treatment for patients, and financial burden and impact on overall well-being were significant concerns. The surveyed healthcare professionals expressed a need for more support in educating patients and recommended early intervention for managing sickle cell disease.
