- Title
Kommunikation: Fremdsprache für die Führungsposition.
- Abstract
The article discusses the question of whether women in leadership positions are judged more strictly or are more often confronted with the accusation of not fulfilling their role adequately. It is pointed out that women often have to learn a kind of "foreign language" in order to be successful in leadership positions, as traditionally male-dominated communication is seen as the reference. It is also noted that men are more likely to get away with inappropriate behavior than women. The article suggests that leadership should be situation-based and that further training opportunities in this area should be expanded. The author, Jennifer Strunk, is a professor at the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis at the University of Rostock.
