- Abstract
The article discusses the relevance and implications of the various researches published within the issue. It discusses the characteristics of individual books, the particular setting of the sets of books made available, the characteristics of national sociologies, and the cross-national social system of sociology. The article documents some of the relationships among national sociologies and their historical determinants. It also draws some of the analytical possibilities that textbooks can offer in relation to pedagogy and the history of sociology.
