Work Arrangements: 1995 Overview.
- Abstract
The article presents a summary of the article "Work Arrangements: 1995 Overview," by Ernest B. Akyeampong, that was published in "Perspectives on Labour & Income." It reported that sixty percent of Canadian employees ages 15 to 69 work a five-day Monday-through-Friday schedule, according to Statistics Canada and Human Resources Development Canada. The incidence of weekend work rose significantly between 1.991 and 1995, however. About 10% of workers reported usually working on Saturdays in 1991, compared to 14% in 1995. The share of workers with flexible work schedules increased from 16% to 24% between 1991 and 1995.
