The article examines the intellectual influences, networks of socialization, and practical activities surrounding "A History of Everday Things in England," a series of interwar bestsellers by Charles Henry Bourne Quennell and Marjorie Quennell, in 1918-1969. Particular focus is given on the Quennells, who were both disciples of the Arts and Crafts movement, and the history of everyday life that opens an important window into the history of British social history.
