- Abstract
A reprint of an April 21, 1862, report from U.S. Army surgeon and medical director at the U.S. Civil War engagement the Battle of Shiloh R. Murray to Army of Ohio chief of staff J.B. Fry is presented. The report contains Murray's description of his actions during the engagement, the service of the organization the United States Sanitary Commission in caring for wounded soldiers, and the want of dressings and ambulances for the wounded.
