- Abstract
The issue of ethics in medical research grew at the end of World War II with the Nuremberg Code. During this period, some cases in the United States had demonstrated the need to establish rules and procedures in medical research. The importance of ethical relations in the development of trials in humans has been observed in many standards. This study aims to present a brief history of major national and international guidelines related to research ethics and the use of human subjects in scientific experiments.
