The article offers suggestions on how to teach the Stolen Generations in primary classrooms effectively while avoiding tokenism, cultural appropriation, and trauma. Topics include strategy to create consistent and authentic engagement with First Nations contexts in the classroom and throughout the school year; and how teachers can use the YARNS approach to evaluate the resources they use and engage directly with First Nations members of their communities.
