- Title
Vampyroteuthis infernalis: His Art.
- Authors
Flusser, Vilém
- Abstract
The article offers information on the art of Vampyroteuthis infernalis or vampire squid. It notes that unlike human art, the art of Vampyroteuthis does not create artificial memories or artworks but rather transmits its information immediately to the brains of other Vampyroteuthis where it may be stored. It cites that their art is not objective but rather inter-subjective as it seeks immortality not in artworks but in the memories of others. It states that the strategy of Vampyroteuthian art, like its skin painting, can be depicted in various manners which include allocating a place for the new experiences they learned along with other already stored information.
