- Abstract
This article explores the relationship between cesarean section (CS), birth weight, and preterm birth on the risk of atopic dermatitis (AD) in children. The study used data from the Taiwan Maternal and Child Health Database and found that the interaction of CS and preterm birth, as well as CS and high birth weight, were associated with an increased risk of AD. Conversely, the interaction of preterm birth and high birth weight was associated with a decreased risk of AD. The study suggests that further investigation is needed to understand the underlying mechanisms and implications of these interactions.
