- Title
WONDERS IN STONE AND SPACE: THEOLOGICAL DIMENSIONS OF THE MIRACLE ACCOUNTS IN CELANO AND BONAVENTURE.
- Authors
Johnson, Timothy J.
- Abstract
An essay is presented wherein biographical texts, such as the Legend for Use in the Choir and the Minor Life of Saint Francis are favored for the study of miracles and religious identity. The author stresses how hagiographers, such as Celano and Bonaventure, interpreted the miracles in choir legends. It also mentions the power of the fundamental Christian paradox in constructing religious identity.
