- Abstract
Erkin Vâhidov who is the most significant representative of modern Uzbek poetry, is a famous poet with either a mirror for Uzbek literature and modern life or a guide for Uzbek people. By using the way of classical poem tradition he wrote a poetry book called "Yåšlik Devånı". Another one is "Tirik Säyyårälär" in which he judges the psychological world and thoughts of human being. The other poetry books he wrote are "Šarkiy Kırgåk" and "Yahšidir Aççik Hakikat". "Nida Destanı" in which he's talked about the sufferings during the 2nd World War, is among his important books. Due to the Revolutionist Bengal poet Nazru'l-İslam's life and his terrible death, by using some elements such as courage, humanity, self-sacrifice and national debts and describing the human beings cruelty he wrote "Ruhlär İsyånı". "İstambul Fåciäsı" which is written in verse displays the merciless face of life by using some contrasting matters such as right and wrong, fair and unfair, sincerity and affection. His another book "Dåniškišlåk Lätifäläri" is a poem series written in comedy form. Other works are "Åltin Devår" a comedy and many translations. Through these Works, he has become a leading figure to guide both Uzbek people's social and literature life at present time. In this article it's going to be focused on some materials made his style such as phonetic elements and vocabulary used in Erkin Vâhidov's poems and it's going to be described his world of words.
