The article focuses on implications procedural protections endorsed in the U.S. Supreme Court case Huddleston v. United States as safeguard against improper admission of evidence of prior wrongs. Topics include adoption of the Huddleston standard by the Supreme Court; the Rhode Island Supreme Court's adoption of the Huddleston approach to Rhode Island's rule; and need of proper standard of admissibility for Rhode Island rule 404(b).
