The article examines laws concerning commercial surrogacy and its impact on the U.S. fertility tourism. Topics discussed include laws governing firings related to IVF treatment or pregnancies outside of marriage; challenges due to continued development of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs); and enactment of Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978.
