- Abstract
Job insecurity has important consequences for employees. The sample of this survey is composed of research assistants working in a public university. A considerable part of research assistants are employed as a fixed term (50d). According to the results of the survey, it is determined that there is a significant difference between two group of research assistants' (50d and 33a) job insecurity levels. On the other hand, through the structural equation modelling, it is confirmed that the inner resignation variable is mediating the relationship between job insecurity and life satisfaction. The job insecurity causes that the worker is performing only commensurately and this impacts the life satisfaction negatively.
