Detained school children beaten, one in hospital.
- Abstract
The article reports that seven adolescent boys were beaten by policemen in Labrang Country, Tibet, China on September 7, 2007 due to writing slogans for Tibetans independence. According to London-based Free Tibet Campaign and Washington (D.C.)-based International Campaign for Tibet, the parents were asked to pay hefty fines of up to 4000 yuan for the released of children. Lhamo Tseten, one of the teenager, was hospitalized and received medical treatment because he was severely beaten.
