- Abstract
This article discusses a study which identified common geriatric needs in internal medicine subspecialists. The subjects of the study were 46 scholars in medical subspecialties who have received research funding to study geriatric-related aspects of their subspecialty. Results of the study reveal that 24.3% of participants described themselves as very or extremely satisfied with their training in geriatrics during residency, and 62.2% reported having received less than one month of formal geriatric training during their residency training.
