- Abstract
The article focuses on an event organized at the Orangeville Convention Centre in Ontario on October 25, 1998 to pay tribute to old time fiddlers Graham and Eleanor Townsend. Mark Sullivan played a Graham Townsend hornpipe, along with the band composed of Phyllis McDowall, Ken Descharme and Charlie Steinhoff. Guests have spoken about the contributions of Graham to the music industry. He was praised by 1984 Canadian Champion Frank Leahy for being able to earn a living from playing. Fiddlers also joined the couple to play old time tunes.
