An interview with Catherine Pickstock, author of the book "After Writing: On The Liturgical Consummation of Philosophy," is presented. She explains her assertion that the Second Vatican Council's liturgical reformers were not thinking radically enough. She describes the contemporary language-forms in the new Mass which depict time as a linear succession of discrete present moments. She argues that the new Mass is rather alienating.
