- Title
Nettle: The Stinging Sanative.
- Authors
Korneyev, Alex
- Abstract
The article presents information on Stinging nettle (Urtica urens; Urtica dioica), an herb whose health-beneficial properties were well appreciated in traditional herbal medicine and have expanded in modern civilization. Its tendency since ancient time to grow near human habitations, and its especially prosperous growth in soil worked by humans, strongly suggest an enduring sense that nettle and humanity should benefit from one another. One of the most notable anecdotal benefits of nettle is its reputed ability to improve learning through the application of fresh nettle to a student's back.
