- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism of the poem "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" by William Wordsworth. Particular focus is given to the different meanings behind the elements of clouds and daffodils and to the ideas of singularity and multiplicity. Topics discussed include the theories of philosopher Benedictus de Spinoza, the relationship between the state and the individual, cardinal and ordinal numbers, and differing modes of thought in the Renaissance and Romantic periods.
