- Abstract
The article focuses on the different methods used in science education to guide students to question, research and inquire in the U.S. It has been cited that exposing a student to a risk-free environment is a prerequisite to successful argumentation. It is stated that teachers can establish an atmosphere open for conversation which is necessary to encourage students to question and debate. Questioning has been viewed as an ideal tool for the development of student's skills and understanding. Questioning excites the interest of students to question and to expand their knowledge and skills. Moreover, this will allow them to formulate the hypothesis and to design experiments.
