- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 46-year-old woman who had to undergo a tension-free vaginal tape operation for stress incontinence. The patient was administered with spinal anesthesia prior to operation. The patient complained of headache and was given epinephrine which caused coronary artery spasm. The drug esmolol was used for the treatment of epinephrine-induced tachyarrhythmia. It further concluded that epinephrine injection under spinal anesthesia can induce coronary spasm.
