- Title
Oil and Gas.
- Abstract
Libya's Erawon oil field has exported its first 600,000 barrels of oil, with production expected to increase from 3,000 to 6,000 barrels per day. The Libyan National Oil Company aims to increase the country's crude oil production from 1.2 million to 2 million barrels per day by 2028. In Nigeria, deals with Saudi Arabia to fix broken oil refineries could boost local oil production and help grow the economy. However, a legal challenge to a multi-billion dollar oil pipeline project in Tanzania and Uganda has been thrown out by a regional court, despite concerns from environmental and human rights campaigners.
