- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study which examined fertility communication and behavior among married couples in Maharashtra, India. The study included 35 married couples using a terminal method of contraception, or female sterilization. It interviewed key informants from the community to understand the norms and couple communication and behavior regarding reproductive health. It used a visually assisted interview guide (VAIG) to interview married couples. It found that couples discussed fertility during reproductive life span.
