- Title
Commentary: Are ADHD symptoms habit-like? -- a commentary on Goodman et al (2014).
- Authors
Tannock, Rosemary
- Abstract
The author comments on a study published within the issue which proposed multiple memory systems as a potential explanatory mechanism underlying several psychiatric disorders. Topics discussed include the theoretical framework behind the maturation of the two memory systems, the clinical definition of habits, whether the two memory systems develop asynchronously in humans and whether individuals with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) manifest habit-like symptoms.
