- Abstract
Objective: To describe the Quality of Life indicators and the sociodemographic and clinical profile of cases contaminated by Covid-19 in a city in the south of Minas Gerais. Method: quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, data collection was by interview using the WHOQOl-Bref instrument, from January to June 2021. Results: Of the 428 confirmed cases of Covid-19 allocated for the interviews, 211 were lost due to different reasons, resulting in the final sample of 217 participants. In terms of age, the majority were female (55.8%) aged between 60 and 69 years old, marital status with a partner, elementary schooling and an income of approximately 1 minimum wage; the most affected domains were physical (average 70.8) and environment (74.2). Conclusion: This research showed that Covid-19 in the studied population caused several complications compromising the quality of life, being extremely important indicators for planning care and directing public health policies. The results also indicate the need for rehabilitation and health promotion programs to minimize the complications caused by COVID19.
