- Abstract
Interdisciplinary courses have become a standard component in general education programs. Th e assumption is that they improve student outcomes. Th is article is an ethnographic case study of an interdisciplinary course at a research university. It examines the relationship among interdisciplinary curriculum, institutional context, and student outcomes.
