- Abstract
Four members of the Hinduja family, the UK's wealthiest, have been convicted in a Swiss court for exploiting staff at their Geneva mansion. The workers were subjected to "slave-like treatment," with their passports seized and forced to work long hours for minimal pay. The Hinduja family, who have an estimated value of £37 billion, received sentences ranging from 4 to nearly 5 years. The convictions highlight the issue of modern slavery and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals in various industries and countries.
