- Abstract
The article presents a study on the prevalence of levator ani injury in patients with cystocele, based on the four-dimensional (4D) translabial ultrasound. The study evaluated 222 datasets of women who have undergone pelvic floor ultrasound and urodynamic testing while the levator ani trauma and levator ani hiatal dimensions were also evaluated by tomographic ultrasound imaging (TUI). The study suggests that a cystocele with retrovesical angle (RVA) can be associated with levator ani injury.
