- Abstract
The article presents several annexes to the 1948 Genocide Convention of the United Nations. Resolution 96 (I) of the General Assembly of the United Nation states that genocide is a crime under international law, and member states of the United Nations should enact legislation for the prevention and punishment of this crime. Resolution 180 (II) of the General Assembly declares that genocide is an international crime that entails national and international responsibility on the part of States and individuals. Article V of the Genocide Convention states that those committing genocide shall be punished irrespective of their status.
