The article discusses various approaches used by the U.S. Supreme Court to describe reason behind not admitting Defense of Marriage Act's Section three to pass constitutional muster in context of the U.S. Supreme Court case United States v. Windsor. It informs that the Court focused on the figurative harms and several benefits that same-sex couples are missing due to the absence of federal recognition. It mentions that the Section compels couples' to use hard methods to file their taxes.
