- Abstract
The objective of the study was to analyze COVID-19 and dengue cases in Brazilian states. This is an ecological study conducted in the 26 states of Brazil and the Federal District. The cases were consolidated until the 19th epidemiological week of 2021 and emerged from the official websites of the Brazilian government. Data were analyzed by statistical tests in R Software with 5% significance. There was significance for dengue prevalence and COVID-19 prevalence (p=0.01), dengue cases and COVID-19 deaths (p=0.00), dengue prevalence and the number of dengue cases (p=0.00), dengue deaths (p=0.00), and dengue lethality (p=0.00). A national manifestation between the diseases is pointed out, and measures are needed to mitigate the cases, differential diagnosis and prevention strategies, as well as expansion of the notification service with promotion of epidemiological surveillance.
