- Abstract
The untiring search for knowledge leads the human being through the tortuous and obscure paths of ignorance, allowing him to contemplate the answers of his questions in the light of the scientific method. It is coherent to say that modern sciences broke out at the dawn of a questioning, and therefore the art of doing science is intrinsic to the latent curiosity in the innermost essence of man. The scientific method in Higher Education emerges in contemporary society aiming to support the pillars of teaching, research and extension in the educational scenario of tomorrow, from this perspective; the sciences are embedded in the solid foundation of Higher Education Institutions. This fact was of fundamental importance for the development of the guidelines that govern Basic Education, since the knowledge contemplated by the Curricular Components of our educational parameters are fruits of the scientific research developed in the academic environment. In this perspective, Basic Education becomes a victim, a hostage of Higher Education and devoid of its orientations and discoveries, thus limiting the potential researches that could once leverage the sciences. Based on these assumptions, the Bio Mais project is given origin, with the main purpose of conducting the young people enrolled in the High School of the Current College of Caruaru, the elaboration and execution of interventional practices in order to enhance the teachinglearning process, Inciting the formation of young people thirsty for knowledge and apt for the development of scientific research re-signifying today's society.
