- Abstract
In the last 30 years, Brazil has become one of the main producers and exporters of corn worldwide. The cultivation of soybeans has driven technological advances in corn and other crops, transforming grain production systems. Factors such as the Plant Variety Protection Law, the No-Till System, and the use of biotechnologies have contributed to the growth of corn production in the country. Brazil has shown that it can sustainably produce large quantities of grains and conserve a significant proportion of its territory with native vegetation. Public research and the implementation of agricultural policies have also played an important role in the development of the seed industry and the optimization of crop management.
