- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to have a scale that determines the factors that affect the company's choice in the automobile insurance of car owners. The experimental scale, which consisted of 66 questions, was first reduced to 58 by taking expert opinions and as a result of the preliminary application, the first version of the 5 point Likert type scale consisting of 55 items was optained. The work group consists of 350 staff working in Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin coefficient and Bartlett's Sphericity Test were used to determine whether the data were suitable for factor analysis. First of all, 55-item exploratory factor analysis was applied, and non-conforming items were extracted and a five-factor structure consisting of 23 items emerged. These five factors are named as "Company Opportunities", "Assurance", Company Awareness", "Region" and "Experience İnsurance". Compliance indexes were determined as X2/sd = 1.904, GFI = 0.905, AGFI = 0.88, IFI = 0.921, CFI = 0.92, RMSEA = 0.051, RMR=0,031, SRMR=0,049. As a result of these findings, validity of the structure determined by exploratory factor analysis was confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. The general reliability coefficient of the scale was calculated as Cronbach a = 0,87 and the reliability level was found to be high. The results showed that the scale is a valid and reliable scale.
