The article presents the author's views on Conservation of Resources Theory (COR). He claims that criticism by Steven E. Hobfoll of his appraisal-centered approach to psychological stress is unsound and adds nothing to the available literature. The author addresses the issues surrounding COR as well as Hobfoll's criticism of the author's work.
