The article commemorates the 135th anniversary of the Battle of Punished Woman's Fork dealing with the Northern Cheyenne history following the slaughter and removal of Cheyenne people under the chiefs Dull Knife and Little Wolf by the U.S. military. Topics include history of Kansas, memorialization of Cheyenne people killed on September 30, 1878 including chief Dull Knife, and books on the condition of Cheyenne people by Earl Alonzo Brininstool.
