- Abstract
A literary criticism of the novel "If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem," alternatively titled "The Wild Palms," by William Faulkner is presented, in which the author examines themes of urbanization and its impact on mass media communication. Topics include depiction of urban noise, the rhetorical strategy of the book's format, as well as the novel's depiction of a megaphone to evoke the chaos of urban life.
