the article reports on the "Evaluation Engineering" Salary Survey, which showed that the primary career issue for engineers is job security. The survey was participated by over 1,100 respondents, whose median age was 50 years and median salary was $85,000. The survey showed that the median salary for engineers in the Pacific Region of the U.S. was at $97,000 while those in the Mountain Region had $89,000. job security is followed by salary and work/life balance when it comes to the most important career issues for engineers.
