- Abstract
The article presents an examination into the dynamics of Russian and Ukrainian ethnic-cultural relations and identity in the inter-World War era outside of Eastern Europe. Discussion is offered analyzing the shifts in interactions between Ukrainian and Russian emigrants in foreign nations, particularly noting the factors which led to the distancing and conflicts between the two Slavic cultures. The author asserts that changes and challenges in the formation of distinct national identity abroad especially contributed to the isolation between the groups.
