- Abstract
The article "Aging, Society, and Culture: Reflections from interdisciplinary research, training, and intervention" addresses the situation of older adults and the need to address their deficiencies and situations of injustice. It emphasizes the importance of providing them with opportunities for life and allowing them to participate in changes aimed at them. It also mentions the project "Networks, Training, and Interdisciplinary Research" that seeks to address issues of aging, culture, and the pandemic in the Maule Region through a national and international network. The article presents different research related to aging and the care of older adults, including the analysis of monitoring technologies to prevent fall accidents in hospitals, gender stereotypes in long-term care for older adults in Mexico, stereotypes towards old age in social workers in Chillán, and social representations of female old age in Mexico City through nineteenth-century literary texts.
