In the field of applied linguistics, research articles sometimes contain pedagogical suggestions based on research findings and analysis. However, language instructors and materials developers do not necessarily find these very useful or easy to implement. This article examines possible reasons for this problem and explores ways to improve utility of research-based pedagogical implications.
