- Abstract
The article discusses several arguments for and against the global recognition of patent rights as human rights, and it mentions what the author refers to as a human rights framework for intellectual property (IP) as of 2016. Scientific publications and innovations are addressed, as well as private property rights and information about the United Nations Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights' adoption of Resolution 2000/7 which deals with IP and human rights laws.
