- Abstract
The article presents several updates related to veterinary medicine worldwide. The prevalence of bovine spongiform encephalopathy or mad cow disease in the U.S. is estimated to be less than one case per million adult cattle. A booklet of functional tips on developing a cat-friendly practice has been created by the British Feline Advisory Bureau. Jan Barlow was named chief executive of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Great Britain.
