Background Because SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) only evaluates relative perfusion, the full extent of multivessel CAD may go undetected.[1] To optimize SPECT diagnostic accuracy, all clinical parameters, especially ECG results, must be considered. Angiography revealed 95% proximal stenoses in both the left circumflex (LCX) and right coronary arteries, (RCA), corresponding to the SPECT defect, and an 80% proximal LAD stenosis not seen on SPECT (Figure 3).
